Colonial Coins

APMEX offers a superb selection of Colonial coins.

Colonial coins were struck by the Massachusetts Colony, beginning with the "New England Coinage" of 1652. Oak, Pine and Willow Tree pieces were struck. The Mint was located in Boston and John Hull struck the first coins there. Coins were struck for Maryland, Virginia, New York, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Connecticut, New Jersey, and Vermont colonies. Important other varieties struck include Fugio Cents, Bar Cents, Nova Constellatio and Woods coinages.

For your convenience, all coins are listed alphabetically by type.
