First issued in 1863, National Bank Notes were used in all 48 states and the territories of Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico until 1935. These notes were printed in $5, $10, $20, $50 and $100 denominations. There are numerous Large Size notes having been printed in 1863, 1875, 1882, 1902 and 1908, in Three Charter Periods. These are well-engraved and truly beautiful notes. Major types include: "Lazy Deuces," "Brown Seal," "Brown Back," "Blue Seal," "Green Back," "Red Seal" and "Plain Back."
