Item was shipped promptly and I was pleased with the product for the most part. The only problem was that the bar isn't seated straight inside the holder as it's displayed on the website. It's a little bit of an eyesore that way, but I definitely still recommend buying these bars.

Shipped prompty and recieved exactly what I ordered. Yes, bars slide around in packing but really doesnt take anything away from them. If I could afford it, I would buy the 25 pack of 1oz bars and I bet I wouldnt even notice if they slide around in plastic!

LOL @ the people who have complained that the 1g bar moves around in its packaging. I was shocked when i received the 5-1g bars that are ordered...they are definitely small until I realized that it takes 31 of these to make 1oz of gold. And i don't think it's going to drastically decrease the value of the gold because it "moves around"...LOL Thanks APMEX for a great first shipment...looking forward to doing more business with you!

As others noted, the 1 gram bar does not fit the assay card, it flops around. This is unacceptably poor for such a product as fine gold.

I bought a box of 25 of 1 gram gold bars. I like them but the bars aren't straight as show in the picture. While mine weren't loose in the assay card as other reviewers have stated, they're sealed in place but they're awkward positioned in the card. (some are sealed diagonally in the assay card). I don't know if that effects the value of the bars or not but this is the only product I've ordered from APMEX I had a problem with.

True, they do slip about in the assay card, but the "bar" itself is numbered and the number matches the number printed on the card, so that level of authenticity is worth suffering a little "slippage." A fine way to own gold when you don't have thousands to drop on it right away, and should the price drop in the future, these make great little gifts.
