This was my first real 999.9 gold purchase outside of when I was buying some here and there in the 2003 Iraq war, "for dirt cheap by the way." But, back to this product. Very nice Assay card holder, about Credit card sized, with gold bar mounted in the middle. The bar is about the size of a tab on a coke can,maybe fraction smaller. Very, very nice. Good to have in my opinion, small fractional sized gold that is extremely liquid.

I ordered three of these bars and all three of them were barely loose in the package. Nice product but I would suggest buying the 2.5 or 5g bars if you have the money to do so.

Item was shipped promptly and I was pleased with the product for the most part. The only problem was that the bar isn't seated straight inside the holder as it's displayed on the website. It's a little bit of an eyesore that way, but I definitely still recommend buying these bars.

My first gold piece very small very tiny, BUT worth it for starters, plan on buying more comes sealed, might not stay centered in package but nice to have no matter what. Though small very beautiful. Great buy.

Shipped prompty and recieved exactly what I ordered. Yes, bars slide around in packing but really doesnt take anything away from them. If I could afford it, I would buy the 25 pack of 1oz bars and I bet I wouldnt even notice if they slide around in plastic!

LOL @ the people who have complained that the 1g bar moves around in its packaging. I was shocked when i received the 5-1g bars that are ordered...they are definitely small until I realized that it takes 31 of these to make 1oz of gold. And i don't think it's going to drastically decrease the value of the gold because it "moves around"...LOL Thanks APMEX for a great first shipment...looking forward to doing more business with you!

I bought a box of 25 of 1 gram gold bars. I like them but the bars aren't straight as show in the picture. While mine weren't loose in the assay card as other reviewers have stated, they're sealed in place but they're awkward positioned in the card. (some are sealed diagonally in the assay card). I don't know if that effects the value of the bars or not but this is the only product I've ordered from APMEX I had a problem with.
