In 1996, Canada began replacing its paper $2 note with a circulating coin. One of the collector versions of this coin was a Proof Gold & Silver bimetal coin consisting of a core of .9167 Gold composition, and an outer ring of .172 Gold composition. These are not often available! They are well worth a second look. This coin contains varying amounts of Gold in the core and in the ring, for a total of .1849 oz of Gold. It also contains .1642 oz of Silver in the ring. Dates and designs will be of our choosing.
