The Austrian Philharmonics are superbly finished, of course, and I select these for price advantage when looking for a 1/10 ounce gold numismatic coin. They seem to generally run a little less expensive than some of the other numismatics in this size, yet the Philharmonics contain .999 gold content (importantly, stated on the coin) and are universally recognized. Additional pluses are that it is a legal tender coin (in Euros) and provides diversification from U.S. dollar based gold coins. I find that the design, although beautiful and intricately executed, is a little "busy" for the small 1/10 ounce denomination. Still, a high quality, economic alternative.
