Superb Official Medal from the 1904 Louisiana Purchase Exposition, held in St. Louis. This medal was struck in Gilt Brass and it measures 33mm in diameter. The obverse depicts conjoined busts of President Thomas Jefferson and Emporer Napoleon Bonaparte who struck the Lousiana Purchase deal. The reverse depicts a relief map of the United States with the area of the Louisiana Purchase outlined. It is listed in the H&K reference as #304.
