Stock Certificate from the Duluth Short Line Railway Company circa 1880's - 1890's. Printed by H.M. Smyth Print Co.

Vignette of steam locomotive, busy port, and ship in a harbor. Chartered in 1886, construction of the line which ran from Thompson to Duluth, Minnesota was completed in 1888. The line was leased to the St. Paul and Duluth Railroad Company, thereafter becoming a subsidiary of the Northern Pacific. Attractively housed in a protective sleeve. Unissued. Dimensions are about 9"x12".
