In honor of the 2010 Olympic Winter Games held in Vancouver, British Columbia, the Royal Canadian Mint released this beautiful Gold coin to commemorate the event. This year’s issue depicts a hockey player between two maple leafs on the reverse. The Susanna Blunt-designed likeness of Queen Elizabeth II is featured on the obverse of this Gold coin, alongside an image of the logo of the 2010 Olympic Winter Games.
This Gold coin is the third and final coin of a series commemorating the 2010 Winter Olympics, each featuring a different design. Sets of all three coins are also available through APMEX!

Awesome 99.99 bullion gold coin and a must given the success that Canada and the USA had at this 2010 Hockey Olympics. The Canandien Royal Mint's 99.99 really show gold's true luster on this collectable. Too bad they just couldn't have etched SC into the coin somewhere to celebrate Sidney Crosby's OT game winning and gold medal clinching goal.

Although I am not usually big on commemoratives, I snapped up two of these 2010 Olympic gold Maples after Canada won the gold in hockey. The design is iconic and a national treasure for a country proud of it's hockey heritage. I think this coin is a good collectable and a real keeper for the long term. I also love the 2009 Olympic design. The coins I received appeared flawless.
