This is a Tabaristan Silver Hemi Drachm (24mm, 1.9g). Coins like this were used for trade and in commerce along the Silk Road that linked China and southeast Asia with the Middle East and Europe. The obverse shows the right facing bust wearing a winged crown. The reverse shows attendants flanking a fire altar. Each coin in this listing has been graded Mint State by NGC.
