Featuring a design by Darryl Bellotti, an Australian Indigenous artist of both Yamatji and Nyoongar descent, the Kangaroo coin in the Dreaming Series is reflective of Australian culture. Inspired by Bellotti's boyhood memories of a hunting trip in northwestern Australia, the design on the Kangaroo coin displays the animal surrounded by patterns of dots, symbolising the hunters’ journey. The circles represent the places where the hunters would stop.
Each Kangaroo Silver rectangular coin comes in a beautifully illustrated presentation pack. Each pack includes an explanation of Bellotti's inspiration for the design and his signature. The pack also includes a certificate of authenticity.
