BIBLICAL HOLY LAND OF JUDAEA

This 12 coin collection of Judaea is from the time of Jesus. In Jesus's time a wide variety of ancient coins circulated in the Holy Land. Coins of the Selucids of Syria, Nabataeans of Jordan, Roman and various Judean coins all circulated together. Judean bronzes were the most common. These coins were hand made by casting metal in molds consisting of shallow, round scokets connected by channels. Each blank for the coin was connected by a thin strip of metal. The coins were struck with hammer and die then the strip was pulled to strike the next coin. The finished coins were then cut apart.

Each coin is protected in an archival capsule and beautifully displayed in a deluxe custom made hardwood case. This set comes with a plaque listing the twelve coins and a certificate of authenticty.
