The earliest coins known are attributed to the Lydians in the 7th century B.C. By 600 B.C. the idea was adopted by the Ionian Greeks. This set of 12 ancient Greek coins are each from different periods and places that comprised the ancient Greek world. In many cases coins are amoung the few pieces of evidence we have of some ancient civilizations.

Each coin is protected in an archival capsule and beautifully displayed in a deluxe custom made hardwood case. This set comes with a plaque listing the fourteen coins and a certificate of authenticty.
