Struck by the Pobjoy mint in England, this set of proof/satin finish coins was issued to commemorate the millenium year of 2000.
Two of the coins were struck for Gibraltiar. These are a half ounce gold half crown, and a Titanium 5 Pound coin-the world's first struck in that metal!
The other coin was struck for the Isle of Man-A Gold/Titanium half crown. The world's first bi-metal coin of that composition!
All three coins have a right facing bust of Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse, while the reverse of each coin shows scenes appropriate to the passage of/and keeping time. AGW of the set is 0.75 oz. This set comes in the original case of issue and the certificate of authenticity from the Pobjoy Mint. This is one of only 750 of these sets issued worldwide! Not often available! |
