The 2010 Proof Silver Moray Eel coin, which is the final release in a five coin series, features a colorized Moray Eel. The Ian Rank-Broadley likeness of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the monetary denomination are shown on the obverse. Each coin is housed in a presentation case, which comes in a colorfully illustrated box shipper, and with a CoA. When lined-up in release order, the shipper illustrations form a linked image depicting all five reef creatures.

Contrary to the impression given by its snake-like body, long sharp teeth and open-mouth, the Moray Eel is not an aggressive fish. Although capable of delivering a nasty bite, its mouth is generally open so that water can pass over its gills.
