An unusual variety from the Mexico City Mint. Apparently, sometime in late 1979 the inscription "UNA ONZA TROY DE PLATA PURA" was repositioned. 1979 Type II and all 1980 coins have the word "UNA" was moved to a higher position in relationship to the scales. 1979 Type II is much harder to find than the Type I variety.
