This 2009 coin honors the 2010 Winter Olympics held in Vancouver. Displayed on the reverse of this coin is the legendary Thunderbird totem with eleven maple leaves swirling in the breeze generated by the Thunderbird's powerful wings.

Legend has it that during storms, the Thunderbird would flap its enormous wings, creating thunder and great winds, and lightning would fill the sky when the Thunderbird blinked its eyes.
