Very unusual Gold medal!
This interesting Gold medal from Germany was made in 1958 to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the invention of the standard ball bearing in 1883.

A facing bust of Georg Schäfer (1896-1975) is on the obverse. Schäfer was a Graduate Engineer and former Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of FAG Kugelfischer, Schweinfurt, the famous German ball bearing manufacturer.

The reverse displays a German eagle as its central device. The actual Gold weight of this .900-fine Gold medal is 0.225 oz. It is 23.8mm in diameter with a plain edge. Though unusual, it is unlisted in the Unusual World Coins reference.
