This magnificent coin from Liberia is made of 17 separate pieces that pay tribute to St. Peter. This 1 kilo (32.15 troy ounces) of .999 fine silver coin was issued to commemorate the life and ministry of the Apostle Peter which are displayed on the various sections of the obverse.
Peter was called by Jesus to become one of His followers. Peter was a companion and disciple in good times and bad. On various occasions, his faith was tested and reproved. Peter was reprimanded and at the same time rewarded with heartfelt words of praise by Jesus.
Peter preached and healed, settled differences between disputants and taught people to follow the will of the One who had chosen Peter to be the shepherd. Peter is also considered the first pope of the Roman Catholic Church.
The coin's reverse shows the Liberian national arms. This coin is sure to please any collector with its handsome display case and certificate of authenticity. Cataloged in Krause as KM#846.
