A very RARE date Charlotte $5.00 Liberty Gold piece. This coin has a LOW mintage of only 63,591 pieces and is valued in the Redbook at $9,500.00 in MS-60. There are only 35 problem free coins graded Mint State by both NGC and PCGS. Though this coin is graded as Uncirculated Details - Obverse Rim Damage by NGC, the damage is hidden underneath the prong at 1 o'clock . The coin also suffers from a cleaning but it is not noted on the holder. Atypical from the Charlotte Mint, this coin has a rotated Reverse of about 45 degrees. The coin still has great eye appeal and would fit nicely into any collection. A great RARE coin to buy for the price-conscious collector!
