Philip Nathan's original Britannia design from 1987 returns on the reverse of the 2012 Silver Britannia to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee for her 60th year on the throne. 2012 also marks the 15th anniversary of mintage for the Silver Britannia, making this coin a collectors item as well as a beautiful Silver bullion piece.

Wow, hurt-your-eyes bright! Because of the similar majestic female figures on the obverse, I thought this coin would be similar to the Silver Eagle or the Libertad. In some ways it is. However, it really grabs your attention because it has a mirror-like shine and it is very flashy. Great design! I still love the classic finish of the Eagles and Libertads, but this coin is the diva among the three!
