The Akko coins are no longer available from the mint and they had a mintage limited to 2,800 coins. This .857 oz, .925-fine Silver Proof coin was awarded second prize in the Internation Vicenza Numismatic Palladio Contest for the fine architectural representation of the ancient walls and buildings of Akko. This is the 3rd in the series of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites coins produced by the Holy Land Mint. The obverse shows the ancient fortress walls, with the famous clock tower, the Crusader Knights’ Hall, the White Mosque and other buildings on the Akko skyline. The inscription,"Old Akko" in Hebrew, Arabic and English. This beautiful coin comes in the original mint box with the certificate of authenticity.
