This Silver coin contains 0.643 oz of fine Silver. This reverse of this coin is dedicated to the Royal Hudson locomotive of Canada. The locomotive is shown (in color) on its run through the Canadian landscape. The first Hudson steam locomotive was built in 1929 by the Montreal Locomotive Works. These semi-streamlined 4-6-4 steam locomotives saw service with the Canadian Pacific Railway, and one of them was noted for pulling the royal train for the 1939 visit to Canada of Britain's King George VI and his wife, Queen Elizabeth. The Royal Hudsons were widely regarded as one of the most reliable and fast steam locomotives in history.
