This sterling Silver coin from Belarus has been oxidized to give it a unique and antique look. The design is full of intricate detail that makes it seem as though it has been carefully hand-carved. The obverse of the coin features a circle consisting of all 12 signs of the Zodiac , a stylized version of the sun and moon with the astrological sign of Cancer below, and the inscriptions for "Cancer" in Latin and in the Belarussian language at the top; the relief of the State Coat of Arms of the Republic of Belarus; beneath is the year of issue and alloy standard. Inscriptions along the rim include, at the top, REPUBLIC OF BELARUS, and beneath, the face value (20 ROUBLES).

Featured on the coin's reverse is a stylized crab (the symbol of Cancer) with an inset of purple zircon crystal eyes. Surrounding the crab is a geometric ornament of various shells.
