This .925 brilliant uncirculated 20 Rubles coin is the first coin in the "Sailing Ships" series. The series of commemorative coins has been devoted to the most magnificent and recognizable ships. Coins are produced using the integral HOLOGRAM technology with an image of the wind rose. Sedov is considered to be the biggest sailing ship in the world. She is a 4-masted steel barque that for almost 80 years was the largest traditional sailing ship in operation. Originally build as a German cargo ship, the Sedov is today a sail training vessel, training cadets from the universities of Murmansk, Saint Petersburg and Arkhangelsk. She participates regularly in the big maritime international events as a privileged host and has also been a regular participant in the The Tall Ships' Races. On the obverse in the upper part of the coin the Coat of Arms of the Republic of Belarus and an inscription (Republic of Belarus). In the central part of the coin is the laser made hologram depicting wind rose. The background has a navigation map and along the rim the year of issue and face value. The reverse has an image of the Sedov with a sea skyline in the background. On the ride side a miniature side view of the ship with the inscription Sedov below the image. Each coin comes encapsulated and with a Certificate of Authenticity from the Mint of Poland.
