This partially colored, .925 fine Proof Proof coin is dedicated to the Leaning Tower of Pisa. The coin is part of the "World of Wonders" series, which highlights the most exciting and historically important monuments in the world. The coin comes with original capsule and certificate of authenticity.
The Leaning Tower of Pisa is the most famous crooked building in the world. Construction was started in 173 and the original plan was to build a detached bell tower. After the third floor was reached the tower began to slant. Once the slant was noticed, building of the tower ceased for a 100-year period. The next four floors were built skew in hopes to make the correction. The tower was completed in 1372.
