This is a series of coins that commemorates the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympics Winter Games. The Royal Canadian Mint is delighted to feature these popular winter sports and Canadiana in its extensive coin program. Each of the 8 coins are graded Perfect Proof 70 by NGC and features a proof finish and ultra cameo impression, making this set a rare gem and a must have for the avid coin collector.
Featuring brilliant detail along with a colorful crescent hologram that captures the true spirit of the Olympics, each of the five $25 Sterling Silver coins contain 0.81 troy ounces of pure silver. Their themes include: Alpine Skiing, Biathlon, Curling, Canadian Pride, and of course the Canadian classic sport of Ice Hockey.
Each of the three colorized $75 14 karat gold coins contain 0.225 of an ounce of pure gold. Their themes include: Royal Canadian Mounted Police, Geese in flight, and Canadian Pride.
