Ancient Roman coinage!
This Silver Denarius depicts Julia Soaemias, mother of Emperor Elagabalus A.D. 218 - 222 (19mm 2.6g). The obverse shows Julia's right facing bust surrounded by "IVLIA SOAEMIAS AVG." The reverse depicts "VENVS CAELESTIS," Venus enthroned holding an apple and septer with a child standing at her feet. The legend is intact. Sear 7720.

Julia Soaemias and her son Elagabalus were murdered by mutinous troops in A.D. 222 as were Severus Alexander and his mother Julia Mamaea in A.D. 235 ending the Severan dynasty. This example is graded Extra Fine by NGC.
