China Mint

Precious Metals Refining

As one of its many offices, the Changcheng Gold and Silver Refining Corporation is the facility that processes and purifies the Gold and Silver the China Mint uses to create their coins and bars. It is the main center for Gold and Silver refining and purification for the People’s Bank of China. Gold produced by the China Mint is brought in from Australia, then the Changcheng Refining Corporation refines the Gold and Silver coins as efficiently as possible.

Banknotes

The China Mint has six printing plants spread throughout China, located in:

  • Shanghai
  • Beijing
  • Nanchang
  • Shijiazhuang
  • Chengdu
  • Xi'an

Though the plants may be spread out geographically, they are held together by a strict code of guidelines handed down by the central bank. Priorities for the bank include stringent security and premium quality products. In fact, the China Mint recently achieved the ISO 90001 Quality System Authentication Certification.

China Mint works by a code to create Gold and Silver coins that are of the highest quality for its investors and collectors. Living by this code, the Shanghai Bank believes it is on a sacred mission to produce profound designs and creative artistry that perfectly embodies its Chinese culture.
