NGC $5.00 Half Eagles (Liberty 1839 - 1908)
APMEX offers a superb selection of $5.00 Liberty Half Eagles. Famed as being the only coin to be struck at all seven mints, the Liberty Half Eagle was struck in two types: the extremely rare “No Motto” (1839-1866) and the “With Motto” (1866-1908). The obverse features the crowned image of Liberty, while the reverse depicts the majestic American eagle with a shield over its breast with an olive branch and a cluster of arrows gripped in its talons.
