Perth Mint Gold
Invest in Australian Gold coins, like Gold Kangaroos, for beautiful coins to add to your world collection.
Perth Mint Gold - The Perth Mint is Australia’s oldest currently operating mint. The Perth Mint traces its history to Great Britain’s Royal Mint, which opened its Perth Mint branch on June 20, 1899. The Perth Mint remained under British control until 1970. Now, the Perth Mint is owned by the Gold Corporation and is under the control of the Government of Western Australia.
Its reputation for issuing Australian Gold coins of exceptional quality was bolstered in 1957 when the Perth Mint achieved “arguably the purest of all Gold” by producing a 13 troy ounce proof of almost six nines – 999.999 parts of Gold per thousand. Today’s Australian Gold coins, like the Gold Kangaroos, are highly regarded by investors and collectors alike due to their .9999 fine quality. Perth Mint Gold bars are also decorated with a repeating kangaroo motif on the reverse, a symbol of the Australian outback where Gold has been mined in commercial quantities since 1851. Today, the Perth Mint is a member of a select group of mints where Gold, Silver and Platinum coins are produced worldwide.
Since its opening, the Perth Mint has been producing and refining large quantities of Australian Gold and other Precious Metals. APMEX offers a diverse selection of Australian Gold bullion and numismatic coins produced by the Perth Mint. Whether you are looking to purchase Australian Gold Kangaroos, Perth Mint Gold bars or some of the Perth Mint’s beautiful Gold Lunar coins, APMEX has the Gold products you seek.
