Fractional Silver Libertads
Fractional Silver Libertads - Some of the most beautiful Silver coins on the coin market, the Mexican Silver Libertads attract attention from collectors and investors around the world. The Silver Libertads are .999-fine Silver and are well-known for their lovely design. APMEX offers a wide variety of fractional Silver Libertads that make the perfect additions to your Silver coin collection or investment portfolio.
The most striking feature of the coin is probably the reverse design. It depicts two key symbols reflective of Mexico's rich heritage: the Angel of Independence and the Mexican volcanoes Popocatepetl and Iztaccihuatl. Pictured in the forefront of the coin's reverse, the Winged Victory angel is a historic monument for the Mexican people and is a symbol of Mexico City. The volcanoes Popocatepetl and Iztaccihuatl in the background memorialize the Mexican legend of two lovers for whom they were named.
The obverse features the National Seal of Mexico with the official name for Mexico in Spanish: “Estados Unidos Mexicanos.” Outlining the contour of the frame is the reproduction of various coats of arms used throughout Mexico’s history.
