Half Cents (1793 - 1857)
APMEX offers a superb selection of Half Cents.
Called the "Little Sisters" by early US collectors, the Half Cent series is widely collected and an important denomination of early US coinage. Though considered an unusual and insignificant denomination today, the Half Cent was important during the day when working wages were $1 per 10-hour day. They were the smallest denomination of coins ever minted by the US Mints.
