U.S. Coin Values

What’s the Value of my U.S. Coin?

Please note that the prices listed below represent the most common dates of U.S. coins in average circulated or typical uncirculated condition. Coin values shown here may or may not be currently accurate but are intended to show relative value — they are “ballpark” numbers. The value of any given coin depends on its metal content, condition and scarcity. Rare dates can be worth far more than the prices listed and many of our examples are exceptional items from our wide inventory. Coins that are damaged, those that have been cleaned and polished or those that are very worn are likely worth less than the listed prices. For further information about specific coin types, simply click a link provided below.

Professionally Graded Coin Values

Graded coin values will differ from standard values because they are graded by an independent, third-party coin grading company. A graded coin’s value can increase as the grade goes up. Third-party graded coins are sought by collectors and investors because of the guaranteed condition. Even though U.S. coin values differ from standard to graded coins, there is a variety of graded coins from which to choose. CoinGrade+ is an innovative program that leverages APMEX's partnerships with the top coin grading agencies. You can learn more about professional coin grading and how it started and check out our large selection of certified graded coin products.
