Chief Technology Officer
Frank Gocinski has more than 25 years of experience in the high-tech industry developing
software solutions for online ecommerce, physical and mobile channels. He has been
Chief Technology Officer at APMEX Inc., since December 2011.
Prior to joining APMEX, Mr. Gocinski spent 16 years at Microsoft Corporation most
recently in the role of Principal Director of Engineering for the Microsoft Store,
Retail Technology Group. Under Mr. Gocinski’s leadership he and his team brought
the Windows Marketplace and Microsoft Online Store from startup to scale as well
as the development of the first set of physical bricks and mortar stores Microsoft
is rolling out Nationwide. Prior to Microsoft he was a Senior Technical Manager
at Deloitte & Touché leading the development of the firms in-house developed Auditing
tools, he has also worked at Eastman Kodak as a software engineer.
Throughout his extensive career, Mr. Gocinski has served in many leadership roles,
his experience in high tech runs the gamut from:
- Shrink Wrapped, Online, Mobile, Line of Business software development.
- Ecommerce, PCI compliance and standards.
- Online and Physical distribution channels.
- IT Operations and Infrastructure.
- Virtualization and Cloud Computing.
- Project and Product management using structured methodologies such as ITIL, SDLC,
SCRUM.
- Business Development.
- Technical Evangelism.
Mr. Gocinski is a trusted technical authority, accustomed to forming and guiding
cohesive and enthusiastic teams. He is an experience public speaker having delivered
presentations as a recognized technology expert at several critical industry functions
and events. Mr. Gocinski holds a Bachelors of Science in Computer Science from SUNY
Brockport as well as a AAS in Photographic Technology from SUNY Farmingdale.
