Executive Vice President, Operations and Distribution
Kenneth Lewis has more than 20 years of experience within supply chain management,
with a diverse set of companies in both retail and technology organizations and
has possessed P&L responsibilities in excess of $350M a year. He joined APMEX Inc.,
in November 2011 as Executive Vice President – Operations and Distribution and has
responsibility for APMEX’s global receiving and fulfillment, internal manufacturing,
security, and facility infrastructure.
Ken’s background includes the following:
- Most recently, as a senior executive with The Home Depot he was instrumental in
building out and executing the supply chain strategy; Ken also led a distribution
network that spanned 23 warehouses, 8+ million square feet under roof, and employee
headcount in excess of 2,500
- Previous to The Home Depot, Ken led the North America Logistics network for Microsoft
and was instrumental in improving service levels to customers through state of the
art systems and processes while lowering expenses in excess of 30% on a per unit
basis; Ken also led international efforts to streamline operations and procurement
with specific focus on the EMEA and APAC regions
- Ken spent eight years at Office Depot progressing through the ranks and held a multitude
of roles across the supply chain including positions leading transportation and
supply chain development, and concluding with oversight of the retail distribution
network
Ken holds a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Operations from the Georgia Institute
of Technology and has attended leadership development programs hosted by Emory University
and Harvard Business School. Ken has also been a speaker on a range of supply chain
subjects at various conferences and universities.
