Vice President, Human Resources
Leora Kirby has more than 20 years of experience as a senior-level human resources
professional in the manufacturing, distribution and service industries. Ms. Kirby
joined APMEX Inc., in 2011, and is responsible for developing and implementing the firm’s
Human Resources practices and policies for recruiting, on-boarding, benefits, employee
relations, safety, training and talent management.
Ms. Kirby has a demonstrated ability to lead strategic Human Resources initiatives,
implement change management and establish organizational and leadership development
programs. In many of her prior positions, Ms. Kirby provided Human Resources leadership
for companies entering a phase of rapid growth, acquisition or organizational change.
Before joining APMEX, Ms. Kirby was Vice President, Human Resources for Pon Material
Handling NA, Inc., a Dutch-owned company with over 1,500 employees at 40 branch
locations. There, she supported the integration of five companies into one, Equipment
Depot. Previously, Ms. Kirby was the Director of Human Resources for The Wornick
Company, Vice President of Human Resources for Specialty Foods Group, the Director
of Human Resources for the Logistics and Manufacturing division of Cintas, and the
Vice President of Human Resources for Crysteco and finally Professor of Business
and Accounting for Southern State Community College for over 9 years.
