Comments about $20 Liberty Gold Double Eagle MS-64 PCGS:

The choice in buying $20 Liberty Gold Double Eagles is either raw coins or graded coins. The graded coins (PCGS or NGC) bear a premium over what the price of the raw coins are, but since its really hard to find nice raw $20 Liberty Gold Double Eagles that are not extensively dinged and bag marked, I believe it is best to buy the graded coins, if for no reason other than esthetics let alone the maintenance of the ability to sell quickly if needed (raw Libs are very difficult to accurately grade, so buyers have a difficult time deciding on what is a fair price).
I've bought both raw and graded Libs from APMEX. For this coin in particular, I'll only consider buying graded coins in the future.

My comments on the $20 St Gaudens Gold Double Eagle differ. The St. Gaudens are much easier to accurately grade, both for me and for a potential buyer, so buying high quality raw coin makes some sense. However, if one wants to avoid grading opinion issues at the time of resale of the coin, it's probably best to still strongly consider graded St Gaudens coins from APMEX.
