Generic Silver is the way to go!

The generic silver deal is a fantastic. I try to order an ounce or two (or five) with every order I place. I like not knowing what is coming and it is so much fun to see what I get. Sometimes I get an old beat up bar, sometimes I will get a brand new round and sometimes I get old commemorative stuff I had no idea existed. This is a great deal for stacking weight at a reasonable price with a little added fun of surprise. If you like surprises and keep an open mind, you will be pleased. Thank you APMEX for offering this option as it makes my silver purchases much more fun and adds to the joy of stacking!

  • Value (low premium over spot)

Bought generic stuff often - sometimes you win sometimes you lose, but it is always interesting: plus, silver is silver. This time, huge surprise with a generic slab from Reliable Silver Corp - talk about unique, I love it. This remains my favorite way to stack silver at "just over spot" prices. Thanks again. Lou

always fun to see what one will get. Sometimes excellent proof like rounds, other times real ugly junk, and sometimes some real interesting and likely fairly rare stuff. All .999 so all good though. I always recommend generic silver.

A good buy with a low premium

I ordered 5 ounces and asked to be surprised with something nice. Boy was I. I received a 4oz $100 bill that was without a date, or COA. Obviously a cull, but 4oz silver all the same. And still a beautiful piece. I'd been wanting to get one but was hesitant. The last oz was a Canada $5 piece that looked like it was minted recently and circulated. I am very pleased with my order and will be ordering this item again sometime. Thanks APMEX for making my day.

So this was my first time buying silver and I did get what I ordered. 5 oz of silver but I didn't expect it to be that badly damaged, looks like someone took a hack saw several times over across all sides of the 3oz coin I recieved. Guess that's what I get for going Generic silver. Will probably try to find another way to get decent silver

Why does the price of Silver change throughout the day?

When buying Silver rounds and bars, you will notice the spot price changing throughout the day. The Silver spot price fluctuates throughout the day and night because Silver is traded 24 hours per day, seven days per week, all around the globe. The Silver price per ounce is influenced by Silver bullion price markets from Chicago to Zurich to Hong Kong. However, in the U.S., the current Silver price per ounce is generally based on numbers from the COMEX (Commodities Exchange) in New York City. To buy Silver bars and rounds when the Silver spot price dips, set up a free APMEX Market Alert to send you an email or text, and then you won’t have to wait at your computer to catch the fluctuations.
