I ordered five ounces and included a friendly message to customer service to please see if they could give me 2-ounce pieces or higher. I opened my package like a child at Christmas to find a 3 ounce, poured piece with a raised Punisher, a 1.4 racetrack/casino gaming token and a 1 ounce Apollo memorial coin. In all, the weight was just shy of 5.5 ounces! You Apmex guys and gals are awesome!!

Pros

  • Value (low premium over spot)
  • Attractive Design

As always my multiple orders from Apmex have been pleasant and flawless, Apmex is always good about full disclosure of what you are ordering. I have received a 5 oz scotiabank round, in like new condition, and I've received a entire order composed of common buffalo rounds. Sure I could have saved a little on over spot buying buffs (if I wanted buffs), but I was paying for a chance to get that "diamond in the rough". I'm always excited to find a excuse to order from Apmex, gifts or investments.

Pros

  • Attractive Design
  • Collectible (lower mintage)
  • Easy to Sell
  • Recognized Brand

Cons

  • Unattractive Design
  • Common (higher mintage)
  • Hard to Sell
  • Generic Brand

Save your money

I ordered 5oz. hoping to get something interesting, instead I received 5 scratched up buffalos. Could have bought new ones for $.60 cheaper, if I even wanted some, there are much nicer generics out there. Picture definitely does not represent anything close to what you will get. Your money would be better spent elsewhere.

Cons

  • Unattractive Design
  • Common (higher mintage)
  • Hard to Sell
  • Poor Condition

Great Product!

I've ordered this product twice now, and love the variety of different sizes, and weights on the individual bars I've received. Just as the item description states though some may have scuff marks or will be tarnished, etc. Overall great product!!

Pros

  • Value (low premium over spot)
  • Attractive Design
  • Easy to Sell

Why does the price of Silver change throughout the day?

When buying Silver rounds and bars, you will notice the spot price changing throughout the day. The Silver spot price fluctuates throughout the day and night because Silver is traded 24 hours per day, seven days per week, all around the globe. The Silver price per ounce is influenced by Silver bullion price markets from Chicago to Zurich to Hong Kong. However, in the U.S., the current Silver price per ounce is generally based on numbers from the COMEX (Commodities Exchange) in New York City. To buy Silver bars and rounds when the Silver spot price dips, set up a free APMEX Market Alert to send you an email or text, and then you won’t have to wait at your computer to catch the fluctuations.
