Slightly Disappointed

I ordered a handful of these to grow my silver collection. I was really dissapointed with some of the ones I received. I got 4 of them that had tacky stickers on them. Two for Valentines Day, one for St. Patricks Day and one for Easter. I guess at the end of the day it doesn't really matter as long as the silver count is there, but of the 5 I ordered I'd only show 1 to my friends.

Pros

  • Value (low premium over spot)

Supremely Disappointed!

After reading the other comments I decided to get 15oz of this, since everyone else ordering just a few ounces seemed to get a nice variety of random things. I got 15 blank 1oz APMEX rounds :/ Hands down the most boring addition to my collection. No variety, nothing nice to look at, why would anyone want blank rounds?

  • Value (low premium over spot)

Cons

  • Unattractive Design

Overpriced For Tarnished Silver You Could Buy New For Less

By  John

from Midwest

1.0

I received three tarnished silver coins that I could've bought brand new for a cheaper price. This is a bad deal because you could get a badly conditioned Sunshine Minting coin for a dollar more than what you could buy a new one for. I don't mind tarnished on a coin from the 80s, 70s, 60s or later.

Cons

  • Poor Condition

Love this!

Great way to load up on silver at low spot. I also got a kick out of the items I received, there's some kooky stuff out there.

Cool Stuff

Ordered 3 ounces and wrote in the Special Requests to "send me something weird". Was not disappointed! I got a beautifully toned 1 oz bar from the 1976 Boston Numismatics convention, a 1 oz hand poured bar, and a really strange 1 oz round that was maybe some kind of trade show or convention promo item? All cool stuff, I will of course be ordering more!

A fun purchase

Placed two separate orders for 4oz. The first order consisted of a 2oz day of the dead skull and a 2oz Mk bars reaper square(both in great condition). The second order contained a 2oz Canadian coin and a 1oz apmex(baby boy birth celebration)round both brand new, and a 1oz heart which was off brand and had the zodiac Taurus on it. The heart had some heavy wear but I enjoyed all of items, overall a great buy for the price and possibly the most fun purchase ive made.

Wow! Took a chance ordering this but when my order came, it's like a treasure hunt! You don't know what it will be! Anything from poured silver to rounds. I even got 2 Queens Beast coins! They have milk spots on them so that goes to show APMEX really cares customer service wise to choose the best quality coins to ship out and save the bad or damaged for options like this. It's a great way to stack silver and with wonder, it can be anything.

So far I've made two generic silver orders and both have been great. The first I ordered 10 oz and received a 2oz antique finished round, 4oz 100$ bill bar, 3 Hamilton Mint bars from 1976! And a generic bar. The second order I tacked on 3 oz to an order I made and received a brand new 2014 apmex round and 2 different 1oz mk barz & bullion pirate squares! Extremely happy with my generic silver orders! Thanks Apmex!!

Why does the price of Silver change throughout the day?

When buying Silver rounds and bars, you will notice the spot price changing throughout the day. The Silver spot price fluctuates throughout the day and night because Silver is traded 24 hours per day, seven days per week, all around the globe. The Silver price per ounce is influenced by Silver bullion price markets from Chicago to Zurich to Hong Kong. However, in the U.S., the current Silver price per ounce is generally based on numbers from the COMEX (Commodities Exchange) in New York City. To buy Silver bars and rounds when the Silver spot price dips, set up a free APMEX Market Alert to send you an email or text, and then you won’t have to wait at your computer to catch the fluctuations.
