I bought these quarters b/c I don't have much "junk silver". I have mostly 1 ounce U.S. American Eagles and wanted something of smaller silver increment. The product condition was as-advertised, just average, but that's what I wanted, pay a slightly lower premium then the better conditioned quarters or older quarters. I buy for silver content only but it may be interesting for some that of the 40 quarters, 10 were from 1964. The oldest quarters I received were from 1934, quantity 2 total from that year. Some of the other quarters had some dirt and wear but overall in decent, average condition. They all had their ridges, none were chipped or cut. One more thing, always check to make sure that the roll you receive contains pre-1965 quarters. They accidentally shipped a 1966 quarter in the roll but quickly fixed the issue when I brought it to their attention and mailed me out a replacement pre-1965 quarter. I bought the roll of 40 with a free shipping offer from APMEX so when they offer that special again, I'll pick up some more. I've shopped around and APMEX has the best prices I could find when it comes to "junk silver".

I ordered one $10 face value and five $1 face value of junk silver. I received 40 quarters in a roll and five baggies of 4 quarters each quarters. Of the 58 that are acceptable, the quality is what one would expect. Some looked really good, some were really worn. Typical circulated condition. Two of the quarters were completely unacceptable. The two that were not acceptable were the only two that weren't Washingtons. One was a Standing Liberty and the other was a Barber, which normally would be pretty cool but both of them were so worn to the point of being cull. If either of these coins were a 1965 or greater they would be taken out of circulation. The Barber was thin and slick! When I put the sixty coins in stacks of 20, the stack with the above two mentioned coins was visibly shorter. In other words, I feel like I got shorted. I wouldn't even care but Apmex sells 'cull' coins, which these clearly are.

Received quarters. 2 were slicked out walking libs. That's the reason for 4 stars and not 5. Even with those, I will be ordering more.

I usually don't have enough cash to get you best price. Shouldn't being a somewhat regular customer have some benefits? I also have referred Apmex to several friends. How about a referral discount?

                    Comments about 90% Silver Coins - $10 Face-Value Roll:

When ordering these I did try to have an open mind as to condition. I had never ordered them before and didn't expect there to be any collector pieces in the roll. Apmex has an excellent reputation and I have been very well satisfied with Apmex in the past. Anything we ever purchased exceeded all our expectations and their ordering system, packaging and shipping have been truly exceptional.
The roll of quarters we received had 2 "no date" liberties that were thin and slick and should have been retired long ago. I imagine they would be called "worse than cull" but I am far from an expert.
There were some early washingtons, well circulated and well worn but readable. A couple from the 50's and the balance in early 60's. I was somewhat amazed (and relieved) to discover the content weight of the coins was within the 7.15 oz advertised by Apmex. The 7.15 oz Silver content did come at a low premium.
If you order this roll I'd recommend leaving it intact and storing it just the way you receive it. The coins on both ends were acceptable and you will most likely be pleased with your purchase. The Apmex paper it's rolled in might be seen as an assurance of quality if used for trade or exchange later.
If you open the roll looking for a coin or two to use as a filler for your grandson's album, you may find a good one to use. You may also find a few that'll make you shake you head and make you think twice about ordering them again.

Got three rolls of quarters. One was actually a very worn standing liberty quarter. One was a Washington quarter, but was very obviously clipped. APMEX replaced it, though, so all is good.
