Series 1880 $10 United States Note (a.k.a. Legal Tender Note) has a portrait of statesman Daniel Webster at lower left with a depiction of Pocahantas being presented to the English Royal court at lower right. This note is commonly referred to as the "Jackass" note due to the likeness of the small eagle at bottom center. When the note is upside down, the eagle resembles the head of a donkey or Jackass. The back of the note is ornately engraved with the obligation and a warning about counterfeiting at right. Very Fine condition. Lyons/Roberts signatures. Friedberg#113.
