This beautiful Proof Gold and Platinum coin is the first Gold and Platinum bi-metallic coin issued by the United States Mint. The coin's center contains 0.2509 troy oz of Platinum, which is surrounded by a ring containing 0.2509 troy oz of Gold.
This $10 Gold and Platinum commemorative coin was issued to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the Library of Congress. The obverse features the torch of learning being held aloft by the hand of Minerva in front of the Jefferson building of the Library of Congress. The reverse shows the Seal of the Library of Congress. This coin is graded Proof 69 by PCGS.
