This coin commemorates the Summer Games of the 25th Olympiad held in Barcelona, Spain. These coins were produced to help fund the training of these athletes. This clad half dollar was desgined by Mint sculptor-engraver William Cousins and depicts a gymnast in motion set against an American flag background. The reverse features the inscription CITIUS, ALTIUS, FORTIUS, the Olympic motto for "Faster, Higher, Stronger." This coin is graded Proof 69 Deep Cameo by PCGS.
