The Peace Dollar was created from a competition to find a design to symbolize the peace after World War I. This coin is certified as an MS-64 by PCGS and encapsulated in a sealed holder to protect your investment. This coin is graded and guaranteed as being MS-64 by PCGS. Designed by Anthony de Francisci, each of these Denver mint Peace Dollars contains .7734 oz. of Silver. The obverse of the coin depicts Lady Liberty, modeled after Teresa de Francisci, wearing a radiating crown. The reverse depicts a Bald Eagle resting on an olive branch with the word “Peace” underneath the eagle.
