This Silver coin commemorates the 200th anniversary of the Lewis and Clark expedition into the Louisiana Territory Purchase. On the obverse, Meriwether Lewis and William Clark stand with a river and foliage in the distance as a separate motif. Lewis holds the barrel end of his rifle in one hand and a journal in the other and looks at Clark, who is gazing to the distance in the opposite direction. Both sides were designed by Donna Weaver. On the reverse is a copy of the Jefferson Indian peace medal’s reverse. This examply has been graded Mint State 69 by PCGS!
