You can't go wrong with the original Lunar Series! The Tiger is simple, yet stunning. A very unique coin - and who doesn't love tigers?

Comments about 2010 1 oz Silver Lunar Year of the Tiger (Series I):

The photo here doesn't do this coin justice. It's simply magnificent! When these came out, they were selling at only a little more than SAEs or Maple Leafs, but since the Lunar Series I has been discontinued, the premiums on these coins have skyrocketed. This particular coin could be a bargain at this price - everybody likes tigers, and this coin has the second-lowest mintage of the entire series (only the Ox had fewer coins struck.) One note - the Mouse, Ox and Tiger, though they were struck with different dates, were all issued in 2008, which was when The Perth Mint decided to discontinue this series.

Comments about 2010 1 oz Silver Lunar Year of the Tiger (Series I):

These are the best presents for kids' birthdays. I started getting 1 oz silver Lunars for friends who had babies in the past years and this year I had my own baby boy so he got one as well. Apmex is generally carefull to wrap these capsuled coins but on occassion the plastic capsules get scratched and Apmex is always quick to replace them with a simple email or phone call - great service. These types of coins have increased in dollar value by quite a bit, until last year (2009) Lunars could be had for about around $20.00, it's worth it to get them right when they become available, usually at the end of the prior year of issue.
