Robert Frost was an American poet best known for his poem " The Road Not Taken" which is featured on the Reverse of this medal. He lived from 1874 - 1963 and died in Boston, Massachusetts. This Gold Commemorative Arts Medal honors his contributions to American society. It is the fifth of 5 1 oz gold Arts Medals to be released by the U.S. Mint between 1980 and 1984. Gold content for these coins is 1 ounce of pure Gold!
