The obverse of this Ultra High Relief round features the images of David R. Scott, Alfred M. Worden and James B. Irwin, the astronauts of Apollo 15, which was the first mission to use the Lunar Roving Vehicle. The reverse of the coin depicts the Hadley-Apennine region of the moon, on which the Lunar Roving Vehicle landed, along with the dates of the mission, July 26-August 7, 1971, and the phrase "On the Moon 67 hours." This beautiful round was struck by the Medallic Art Co.
