The first of the small size silvers! Issued near the end of Calvin Coolidge's presidency, these notes marked a new era in U.S. currency design. Although the basic design did not differ that much from their immediate predecessors, the reduction in size was drastic. This was done as a cost saving measure (Imagine the government actully doing something to save money!) since our growing economy required more money in circulation.
Very Fine condition. Series of our choice (1928 through 1928-B).
