Very Happy!

By  Gbeman

I am a small time silver stacker and had a small amout of extra cash with no home. These Quarters made a really pretty way to store a few hundred bucks. Since I am only in it for the silver, the "impaired" part of it is just a great premium reducer!

Great Roll

Always enjoyed states Quarters, great price, yes there's a few scuffs and doubles but a great buy if you like silver! As always service was amazing! Buy quick, in an out of stock!

90-silver Proof quarters

  • Recognized Brand
  • Easy to Sell

  • Common (higher mintage)

There is no complaint about the product. It was as advertised. I just wish I had waited a few more days to purchase as the price went down.

Great way to add 90% to the stack.

Pretty much agree with the previous reviewers: The level of impairment really is not that bad--these are not collectibles but that is not what you buy them for. As another reviewer said, having the small defects makes you feel not guilty about handling them. Great way to buy 90%: they are (as of today) cheaper than average circulated pre-65 coins--no wear on these, no possibility of getting excessively worn coins, so slightly more silver for less...hmmm...seems like a no brainer to me. My roll had mostly state quarters, then some ATB, and finally a few 1992 "s"--nice variety with only three or four doubles of the state quarters. These things are also rediculously shiny and are kind of cool looking--especially in a little pile. If you are looking for 90% and the premium is still the lowest for these when you are ready to buy, then these are definitely a great option!

Excellent value

These coins are perfect to add silver without the worry of worn-down coins. Premiums are even below those of average circulated coins, which may lose small amounts of silver to wear. In fact, the premiums are close to those found in rounds which may not be widely recognized. And, these quarters will be excellent for trade when the dollar becomes toilet paper. Yes, they have defects. Which was advertised--impaired proofs are not the perfect specimens you expect if you are seeking gem specimens. But, for the metal content, these coins are excellent. If you choose, you can sort through these rolls to find different dates. Or, continue stocking up on these fine rolls while the price of silver is still ridiculously low. One day, I feel the difference between impaired proofs and gem proofs will lessen because these coins will be used as barter. And, when the currency resets, having real silver will help with your exchange. I definitely intend to keep stocking up on these quarters while the prices are still good. Having real quarters that are recognized as silver (just check the rim--solid silver color means the coin is silver) at near the price of rounds is an excellent deal. I still recommend stocking up on rounds and bars, and Eagles, in addition, because it is all silver.

Had to open them up to check em out. Most were very clean, but some had a few blemishes as advertised. Just bought a few rolls to add to the portfolio. Definitely different from the average clad quarters in circulation. Low premium compared to other 90% coins which was the main reason I chose these rolls.

Slightly bag marked/cloth-scratched/fingerprinted, but nice, shiny coins, mostly. Mostly 99-09, a few 92-98. One 62 that' could be a doozy: very bright, mirror-like finish but not high relief, I don't think. But if I'm wrong, this is what the red book has to say about pre-65 silver proofs (see pic). I got a bunch of nice 61 and 64s in the av.circ. roll also. Will buy more when they restock. I think I got the last one!

"Impaired" seems a bit harsh

While these coins do have scuffs, scratches, and other contact marks, they are still bright, shiny, and without all the wear of circulated coins. And, you don't have to feel guilty about handling them vs. fresh proof coins. Very nice coins for less than other 90% silver.
